Trying to install Really Simple SSL and all goes well until the SSL certificate is being generated and this is what it tells me:

The DNS response for _acme-challenge.sasaphrasstudios.website was 7JPLyrWOV-GOTefkCyPMBy4Ug4_Nk_yLUociEIVjios, while it should be VpOUCEo4Fb6vCW1GVPBKxVINbC_s3fgEpx_F1Cf92bI.

No idea what to do here

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @sasaphras27,

this means the TXT record for DNS entry _acme-challenge.sasaphrasstudios.website is incorrect. The correct value is VpOUCEo4Fb6vCW1GVPBKxVINbC_s3fgEpx_F1Cf92bI. To fix this, you can open your sites DNS configuration (which can usually be accessed from your hosting control panel) and update the _acme-challenge.sasaphrasstudios.website DNS record to VpOUCEo4Fb6vCW1GVPBKxVINbC_s3fgEpx_F1Cf92bI

    Thanks Mark!
I’ve searching through my control panel and can’t seem to find where to change the DNS configuration… the only place I come across it is while trying to install the SSL. The DNS code during the actual installation process is recorded correctly, but during the next step of verification, it somehow becomes something else. Just unsure of how to change that TXT record… not very tech savvy over here.
    Thank you so much

    Hi @sasaphras27,

usually your hosting control panel will have a DNS section where the DNS records can be updated. I’d recommend to check with your hosting provider where the DNS records can be updated.

Ok, I was able to go under DNS/Nameserver settings on my host, domain.com. I changed the TXT to VpOUCEo4Fb6vCW1GVPBKxVINbC_s3fgEpx_F1Cf92bI and I waited the 24-48 hours for the change to go through, however it does not seem to have made a difference and I’m still getting the same error code as before.

    I have the same problem.
After account succes and get token succes:
Could not verify txt for _acme-challenge.kwekerijzeelenberg.nl. My key:liJvn5ZnsyrX7tw6B5CCnM23K9tXRie7HuK9eyU35U8
Try several times to renew, but no succes

Hi, I have the same issue as you all. I added the DNS record, it makes no difference, the plugin can’t find it! Due to the lack of dev responses here about this, I’m assuming there is no solution?? This makes the plugin pretty useless for me unfortunately.

    Hi @rosa-bosma,

If you can share your domain, we can take a look.

Hi, the website is https://www.therapeutischcentrumleiden.nl. Thank you!

    Hi @rosa-bosma,

You can skip the DNS check if you want, by clicking the “Skip DNS check” button. But this won’t help if the DNS record is not actually available.

To check if the DNS record can be found, I ran a txt record check here: https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx

On your domain, I do not get a valid txt record with _acme-challenge in it.

Please check if you added it correctly, or contact your hosting company to check it for you. You can then verify your setup with the above mentioned tool.

As soon as it’s available, you should be able to proceed.

Thank you @rogierlankhorst ! It’s really strange, I double-checked and everything looks fine in the DNS settings… I don’t normally have issues adding news DNS records. I’ll check with the web hosting company.
