The Mailpoet app on my website is requesting verification of DNS records. Both the host and value were already populated, so I clicked on the “Verify the DNS records”, but the 3 (2 CNAME and 1 TXT) are invalid with 1 TXT showing pending.

I’ve read the guide, which advises that I check with my email provider (Cloudflare) for the correct records, but I’m not sure which are the correct records.

I need to populate 2 CNAME records, but Cloudflare shows 3.

I also need to populate 2 TXT records, but Cloudflare shows 7.

How do I know which ones to choose? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there. This sounds a lot like the problem I’m currently having. When you say you worked it out, can you give some details about how you did that?

As noted in another post, your provider may have already inserted your domain name (since you’re already logged in and you’ve selected that domain to manage). In my case, it was Dreamhost. The domain name was faintly visible in gray; that’s not a guideline, it’s actually there. Leave it out and the update works fine. Propagated quickly, too.

    Hi @michealrowe1!

Did you manage to resolve the issue? If not, can you please open a new thread?

    Thank you!

My service provider (Hetzner) required a period (.) at the end of the host name. The text provided by Mailpoet didn’t include that period, so when I was pasting it into the field, it wasn’t being verified. I just needed to add the period to the end of the string for the host name, and it worked perfectly.
