• Even just putting this MainWP Child on a subsite and not the main site for the network will blow up your subsite. Need to put it here in the Description instead of only in the docs on your website. Not tested or recommended to use on multisite

  • RTFM / RTFW? Unfair to give it such a low rating, as it’s indeed covered on the MainWP website. The whole purpose of WPMU is centralized management. Hence MainWP would throw unpredictable situations then anyway, not to mentioned the overhead on remote backups and such. However … what’s the alternative? You found one? As I tried to do something similar last year, and couldn’t find something as powerful.

Please note in Bold at the top of the MainWP Dashboard installation page we do have the following warning: “NOTE: MAINWP IS NOT TESTED ON OR DESIGNED FOR MULTISITE INSTALLS, WE HAVE REPORTS THAT MOST FUNCTIONS WORK CORRECTLY BUT SUPPORT WILL BE LIMITED. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND INSTALLING THE MAINWP DASHBOARD PLUGIN ON A MULTI-SITE INSTALL.”

We also have no reports on it ever “blowing up” a subsite when being installed on multi-site.

    Thanks
