I haven’t fully tested ACs with Mailpoet yet, but read over a thread 2 years ago where you guys made a ridiculous claim that Abandoned Cart emails can’t be sent unless the “would be” customer is subscribed to a list??? This makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE! How on earth would an potential AC email subscribe anyways? Do you even realize that 99% off AC and mail plugins send out AC emails?

How are people suppose to receive AC emails when they are never even given a chance to subscribe? What kind of backwards logic is this?

  • Hi there @grafx77,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that it’s different from how other plugins handle it. However, MailPoet is a marketing tool and marketing emails can be sent only if a user gave express consent to receive emails from you.

I can suggest you look into an AutomateWoo plugin which can send Abandoned Cart emails to any user: AutomateWoo

Hope it helps, please let us know if you need further assistance!

Yeah, I’m already using another AC plugin now from ThemeVilla. I think it’s very deceptive though that you guys offer AC, but don’t really tell anyone that it’s pretty much useless with this restriction in place. Most people aren’t going to find out about this until it’s too late. This type of thing is kinda irresponsible if you ask me.

The company should just do away with the AC portion of the plugin altogether.
