do bots show up in stats?

    Are bots – SEMRUSHBOT, AHREFSBOT, etc – included in the stats? I seem to be getting more and more bots on the site (I’m blocking them via robots.txt for now) and I’m wondering if all this time my stats have included their movements.

    Hi there,

    We attempt to filter bots, but we cannot catch every single one of them. Some bot traffic is going to be unavoidable.

    Ok, thanks.

    After I blocked SEMRUSH and AHREF I did notice a huge drop in traffic but they seem to be the main culprits.
