Do custom post types generate RSS feeds?

Hi MichaelH,

Thanks for the info. To take it a step further, can I setup a feed of a custom post type where a field is equal to a certain value? So basically the same as a category feed but with a custom post type.

For a post type of book, with a custom taxonomy of Genre is used this works on a test site:

https://sample.com/feed/?post_type=book&genre=mystery

Is this something that has to be enabled at functions.php for a custom post type?
