Do I need a multisite?

Hello all,

I would like to create a site that is available in different languages (including arabic, so a right-to-left language). I want to start with 3 languages, but it might be much more in the future.

Actually the different versions will share a similar structure and features, but the content is not going to be the same, the categories also might change from one site to the other (so it is not about a plug-in to manage posts translations).

So each version is directed in principle towards a different audience, and each version might have its own set of contributors (unless some people can contribute in two languages).

Do you think I need a multisite for this, as described here? Actually they are not talking about the multilingual case.
