Do I need to add Credit Card in AWS for it to work. Getting a credentials error!

    Keep getting:

    Warning! You must provide your Amazon credentials and ensure they are valid. Requests cannot be made at this time.

    I have generated the Access Key ID, Secret Key and the key within the associates program.

    Do i need to add a credit card in order for this to work, as part of the sign up to AWS, i skipped the payment info?

  • You shouldn’t need to add a credit card, but you may want to do it anyway in case Amazon has made some changes to how they activate access keys.

    Note: You won’t actually be billed for using the Product Advertising API though.
