Do I need to disable each plugin I update?

    Hi,

    Very simple question that I can’t find an answer to in the codex or forums.

    I have been disabling all plugins across my network anytime I want to update any of them – and I’ve just realised this is probably not necessary.

    Can plugins be updated without disabling/enabling them?

    I think I have confused updating WordPress (where you should disable all plugins) with updating individual plugins.

    Yes! ?? WP will disable/enable for you ??

    Heck you don’t even need to turn off plugins before a WP upgrade anymore.
