I upgraded the Really Simple SSL Pro, and it is activated. Do I still need to keep the basic Really Simple SSL activated? WP has been telling me I have problems with the basic plug-in.

    Hi @kacraig,

The free plugin is still needed, as it contains the core functionality.

Running on close to 6 million websites, there are no known issues currently. What problem are you referring to?

Thanks Roger. It was just that Jetpack was reporting that Really Simple SSL was not loading properly and suggested I review it. I thought that maybe deactivating the free one would be okay as I had the Pro version, but obviously it’s still needed.
Anyway, after my site going ‘down’ and ‘back’ for most of the afternoon yesterday, it all seemed to get up and stay running late last night, and is all good today – and Jetpack’s message about Really Simple SSL has disappeared. Perhaps there was wider problems with my host? Let’s hope it’s resolved itself, and at least I know I need both free and pro SSLs to be activated! ??
