Do I really need this?
-
If I have already set up Google Analytics, Webmaster tools, sitemap and goodness knows what else and connected the site manually. Do I really need this plugin? I was already logged into Google, but needed to log in again when activating the plugin – and then the client was unavailable to verify my access. I now cannot get to reverify, if already accessing Google, surely I should not need to log in separately.
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hello @bloohair thanks for getting in touch. When setting up Site Kit it is required that you login with a Google account that you have access to. Once connected you can connect several different modules for Google services such as Analytics.
Are you running into an issue when first selecting your Google account to connect with? If yes then could you please share any messages you see on screen at this moment as well as any console errors you may see.
Hi Adam, thanks for getting back so quickly. The G-Code ran out of time, I am trying again now and the client has sent a G code in good time. I log in and attempt to activate Site Kit. This is the error I get:-
Error connecting Site Kit
The Site Kit setup was interrupted because you did not grant the necessary permissions.?Get help
But I have been granted access. Initially I was already logged into the correct Google account. I have the option to Redo the Setup or Log in with Google – but go around in circles. I am logged in now. I think it’s more of a Google error not a site error.
Console report:

@bloohair Thanks for sharing. Could you ensure that when trying to set up Site Kit that all the permissions are being granted which you can check here.
Could you also share your Site Health information. You can?use this form?to share privately if preferred. Please ensure you include your hosting provider here.
Thanks. I can’t even get to the bit where it mentions all permissions.

@bloohair Thanks for sharing. I can see that you have the Health Check and Troubleshooting Mode plugin. Have you already tried following the steps with that here? If not, could you please follow the steps to see if that makes any difference.
Would it also be possible for you to share a recording of this experience which will help us to understand this better. You can use a service such as Loom to record and share the video URL here.
As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to?open a new support topic?if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
