• Hello, I use Cloudflare on the website, since Cloudflare provides caching in the free plan, do I still need caching plugin or does Cloudflare do everrything related to caching? I had caching plugin, I deleted it several months ago, I really confused, is a cache plugin needed when Cloudflare is active?

  • Caching plugins relatively prepare caches for your pages on your server side. This has nothing to do with CloudFlare. I think you may have mistook the concepts.

CloudFlare takes your static items (css, js, images, html pages etc.) and serves them through their own servers. If you do not prepare static html cache pages for your website on your server, CloudFlare won’t create them for you.

You can still use APO which will cover it relatively but it’s still not the same.

Some caching plugins also optimise pages and page loading in various ways, so it’s definitely worth using them.

I personally use WP Fastest Cache Premium even with Cloudflare APO (which is a paid feature, but may be worth the money).
