• They want an email address and a name before they will allow a download. This is dodgy and every single site where I have been asked to donate my email address as a payment for some free plugin or other software has resulted in spam. I can see no reason this would be any different. I could be wrong. I am not saying they will spam you, just saying that I would advise anyone NOT to download this plugin if you have to supply an email address

They want an email address and a name before they will allow a download.

That may be the case for the “Pro” version but the version here does not do that. They can do that on their own site, just not on any code in the plugins repository here.

I just installed it on my test WordPress installation and I’m not seeing anything like that. It’s possible I missed it but that plugin here doesn’t really seem that complicated.

That’s odd youre right ! but before I clicked something and got taken to a page with the plugin details displayed and a request for a name and username. I had genuinely thought it was the only way to get a download of the plugin. I had been reading the list of reviews somewhere (a list with lots of different plugin reviews) I clicked something there.
I only wish now I could delete my review from the page I am on now as clearly I am wrong !, and I cant find that link which takes me to the page asking for email address
