    Hi there

I need to template some designs but I do not have the option to choose any templates in the admin panel.

Is there a setting that enables me to turn it on?

    Thanks

I really appreciate any help for this

    Richard

  • No – you have to create the templates and upload them to your theme first. As soon as you have at least 1 custom page template file in your theme, the Page Template dropdown will appear – as if by magic. ??

When you say “create and upload” it means to put that templates code at the top then drop the php file into the folder with the the other main files?

If understand you correctly, then yes. Create the file following the guidelines explained on the link I gave above and upload it to your theme’s folder using FTP (or whatever file management application your host provides).

I have made 5 pages with the templates code at the top, all with a different name, put them in the same theme folder as index.php, functions.php etc and they still do no show in the admin panel.

Is there something else I have not done correctly?
