Do not properly filter WP 4.1.1

Hello,
when I want to make a widget does not leave me in a number of category I put the following code:

!is_category (array ('217', '221', '218', '220', '219')).

The problem is that my widget appears in the categories that must not appear.

if I put the following
is_category (array ('217', '221', '218', '220', '219'))

The widget that is what I want is not shown, but in other categories the widget does not appear.

As I can fix this?
