• If you’re wondering whether to use Elementor for your site, then consider this:

    • Elementor requires 128MB memory limit minimum. But realistically even a small website could reach a point where it will need 512MB. To have a page editor that requires half a gigabyte of memory isn’t just unreasonable, it is wasteful and indicates incompetence.
    • Official support page actually claims that other plugins might be at fault, and you should just turn them off one by one in order to “spot the problematic plugin”. This is dishonest, since the thing that stops working is the editor itself and the reason is well known. It’s not logical to claim that the fault is in other plugins when Elementor tries to allocate enormous amount of memory.

You might end up in a situation where you’ve created your website, but Elementor simply stops working, and your hosting doesn’t allow more that 256MB. Changing hosting just because of an editor is something new in the world of web development.

  • Exactly right! Elementor is a memory/resource hog that only gets worse the more you grow your website. Our page load times on average have doubled since we first started working with this plugin.

Add to that the fact that it seems that with every 2 or 3 updates you get a fatal conflict causing you to have to rollback to find a previous working version until Elementor finally gets around to accepting they are at fault and fix it.

The final nail in the coffin for us is the fact that the space / buffer settings are so inconsistently displayed around page elements when you switch from PC to tablet to phone platforms.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME / MONEY WITH THIS PLUGIN

Sadly, I couldn’t agree more. But I’m stuck with it, because several other plugins I depend on depend on it.

Not only that, they are crooks. They cancelled my subscription because I wouldn’t buy their gas lighting BS. Their support is WORTHLESS.

They wouldn’t refund my money so I had to dispute with my bank.

My attorney is filing official complaints with the FTC and other agencies. Soon they’ll be blacklisted with a few banks which is going to affect their payment processing abilities in the US. ??
