• THIS IS MY FIRST REVIEW EVER! BUT STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLUGIN!

I ENTERED TROUBLESHOOTING MODE AND IT’S STUCK! YOU CANNOT GET OUT OF TROUBLESHOOTING MODE.

YOU CANNOT SEE THE ACTUAL WEBSITE ON YOUR ACCOUNT. YOU CANNOT DO ANYTHING IN YOUR ACCOUNT.

THE FRONT END OF THE WEBSITE LOOKS NORMAL WHEN YOU’RE NOT LOGGED IN. BUT THE BACKEND IS PRETTY MUCH LOCKED. YOU CANNOT DO ANYTHING.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLUGIN. I MADE THE MISTAKE OF USING IT ON A LIVE WEBSITE FOR A BUSY BUSINESS. NOW I HAVE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

REMOVING THE FOLDER FROM THE PLUGINS DIRECTORY DOES NOT WORK!!! TROUBLESHOOTING MODE IS PRETTY MUCH PERMANENT AND WILL DESTROY YOUR WEBSITE.

THIS PLUGIN SHOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE TO DOWNLOAD. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I fixed the issue.

It seems like the plugin uses a cookie and keeps you stuck in trouble shooting mode.

I did multiple things to fix this, not sure what worked.

    • Clicked disable trouble shooting mode multiple times with it not working
    • Downloaded and then deleted the plugin folder
    • Reuploaded the plugin folder and tried to disable plugin
    • Created a new admin account and went in to disable the plugin

I tried to check the database to see if I can find any settings that were about trouble shooting but no luck.

Then I finally started going through the code of the plugin to see if I can figure anything and saw that it sets a cookie.

I opened a new private window and logged into my original admin account and everything was fine.

I went back and cleared cookies for the last 24 hours and it fixed my account back to normal.

I hope this helps anyone stuck in this situation.

Manually troubleshoot your WordPress website and don’t rely on half-assed plugins. New lesson learned!
