• Activating this plugin caused some change to my website and it disabled my website, showing “too many redirects”. Clearing the cache did not solve the problem, so I simply deactivated this plugin.

I used this plugin on another website and it worked fine. But since even the support doesn’t know what caused the problem, it’s safer NOT to use this plugin.

According to several online sources, this seems to happen once in a while, and the solution is to deactivate this plugin.

    This is not true.

To repeat what I said elsewhere, the problem on your site was not caused by the plugin. I showed that WordPress was performing the redirect, not Redirection. I also showed that your cache was involved.

According to several online sources, this seems to happen once in a while, and the solution is to deactivate this plugin.

Please state your sources when making these statements. This does not happen once in a while. The plugin is used on millions of websites without issue. It is also used on one of your other sites without issue.

Obviously some people will run into problems, and this is almost always caused by some configuration or setup specific to their site.

Normally if people have an issue they are patient enough to try and resolve it properly without immediately writing bad reviews.

I’m astonished by this review and a few others. Even brilliant plugin authors providing completely free, better than pro level plugins, suffer drive by assassinations. Redirection is one of the most reliable WordPress plugins ever created, with a seventeen year history of painstaking maintenance. We have used Redirection on hundreds of sites, many of them very high traffic. Occasional user error (misconfigured redirection rules, they are very powerful) but that’s it.
