Do NOT use Yoast Duplicate Post to edit!!

  • Just lost 2 hours of work while editing in Yoast Duplicate post. When I went to save my work again it threw an error and deleted everything I had done this morning.

    I’m giving it a 2 because it would be a good idea if it worked and it DOES let you create a duplicate post and work off that. Just don’t use it to edit. That doesn’t work reliably.

    we’re sorry to hear that you experienced this problem.
    Can you tell us which error was displayed?
    Were you using the “regular” copy or the “Rewrite & Republish” feature?

    It just gave me the simple error text message you get when something goes wrong in WordPress. Like WordPress wasn’t actually connecting.

    I was using rewrite and republish. I’d been using it for a couple of days.

    All of yesterdays work was there, but the draft log didn’t show any entries for today.

    To understand better what happened: did you get the error while saving the copy as a draft, or while republishing the updated content into the original post?
