• The site is run online by WordPress and on the support pages it says there is a plugin option on the menu on the left hand side. There is no option and I was wondering if its because the site is not run by another server but by WordPress, or if there is someway I can install plugins on the site. It would really help the development of the site and would be much appreciated. Thanks

  • No.. you can not add the plugins that you can with a blog on a server… If you are serious about your blog, you should just buckle down and get yourself a host..

Something like Hostmonster will be the best option because they have phone support for people who are new, AND they have a super simple ONE CLICK install of wordpress to make it LOADS easier to just jump in and get working..

You can also download all of the content from your wordpress.com site and add it to your new site.. You cant keep the looks and such, but you CAN keep the posts, pages, and content..

If your blog is at wordpress.COM then as lindayanng said, you’d need to get yourself a domain and a host, then install WordPress.

See the Hosting tab at the top of this page for info on more hosts and the requirements those hosts must meet.
