Do private/secure pages still get listed in search engines ?

  • Was curious how this works in wordpress, do private or secure pages still get listed ?

    the reason i ask is that I was thinking of making a user area on a subdomain which will link to the main domain but if having these pages on the main domain will contribute to search ranking then perhaps its better to keep them with the main domain

    some urls i’ve seen show up even thought their access only, know what I mean ?

    you might be browsing the search engine and stumble upon some links that direct you to member only content or a login
