I asked my affiliate software provider for an answer to this and they have not tried it before, nor heard of any other users trying it, so do not know if it is possible. They suggested I do my own tests, which I am doing. I am also wondering if moderators on this forum may have suggestions for approaches to try.

I have successfully set up WordPress inside Replicated Sites in my affiliate software. Here is an example https://tracker.greenboard.ca/affnet/sites/network/test5/

Instructions for how to do so using WP are here (scroll to bottom): https://support.qualityunit.com/452871-Replicated-site-files

The limitation is that a full install of WP is required for each Replicated Site, taking up a lot of server space. I will eventually require space for thousands of Replicated Sites.

To conserve server space, is there a way to use multisite and copy sub-site files into the corresponding Replicated Site directory, rather than install WP in its entirety each time I create a Replicated Site?

    Thank you for any suggestions!
