    Yes, they do. But I think you might confusing how events/posts are queried and displayed. The “loop” usually refers the while loop in theme templates, since the venue map isn’t displaying events in that format, (it’s displaying it as a Google map) it does use the ‘loop’. That said the plug-in uses the standard WordPress API to query events (post type) and categories/venues ( taxonomies).

    The problem here is that the venue map doesn’t show events or categories – but venues. Since venues aren’t protected, they are all shown (regardless of whether the only events at that venue have categories that are protected ). (In Pro there is an “event map”, which queries events, rather than venues).

    I’m not familiar with Page Security, but my guess is that they hide post objects, based on taxonomy terms – not hiding taxonomy terms based on that a post object has both that term, and a protected term…

    (… that last sentence made sense in my head ?? )
