• Well, I use a plugin which I load from www.ads-software.com. And I did noticed last week something strange happen on my site. There is a external CSS Code on all sites. I was sure I did not include it. So my first thought was: I got hacked!

If I looked in details, I saw this was from the Plugin. And the only chance to remove this, was to change the source code.

So, my question is, is this ok that a plugin include external sources?
and if, even if there is no choice to deactivate this?
I think there should be a clear definition about this, because external code could spy my visitors and I usually avoid this.

Hmm, my fault – I didn’t read the guidlines and they say clear:
All images and scripts shown should be part of the plugin. These should be loaded locally. If the plugin does require that data is loaded from an external site (such as blocklists) this should be made clear in the plugin’s admin screens or description. The point is that the user must be informed of what information is being sent where.

    Who control this?

    I talk about this plugin
