Do you need PATH_CURRENT_SITE ?

In a post thread (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-networks-for-wordpress-any-step-by-step-instruction?replies=7), the author David Dean entered a post with the following:

"..as long as you ignore WP's instruction to define the DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE, and PATH_CURRENT_SITE, of course. :)"

Yet the install instructions make no mention of the wp-config.php constant setting of PATH_CURRENT_SITE.

So should it be commented out as well or not?
