do_shortcode() not wirkng

    Hello

    I installed Five star rating plugin and inserted a shortcode in a post working as expected, but when I use do_shortcode(‘[rating stars=”5.0″]’) in a function, it shows 0.0 out of 5.0 stars0.0 instead of five stars.

    What is wrong?

    Hi,

    That’s not how this plugin (or any plugin) works. Please use the shortcode. do_shortcode() is only meant to be used in PHP files, such as theme files, plugin files, or functions.php.

    If you read the documentation, you’ll see there is nothing there that discusses using do_shortcode().

    Closing this as the plugin works as intended.
