Document Gallery hangs when downloading a PDF

    We have a number of PDF newsletters on our website: https://www.mwcc-photo.org/newsletters/

    When I added the most recent one, I noticed that the page hangs when you click on the download link. It does the same with all the previous issues as well. I’ve tried in Chrome and Edge browsers. I’ve deleted the thumbnails and generated the page again – same issue. The logging page only shows Detail messages about the thumbs being regenerated.

    Version 4.0 of Document Gallery is installed.

    Has this issue come up before? My shortcode on this page is: [dg orderby=date order=DESC]

    Hi Steve,

    This is not a DG issue. You’ve got another plugin launching a popup when links are clicked and that is hanging. The thumbnails simply link to the file in question.

    If you disable whichever plugin is implementing the popup logic, you should find that the thumbnail links work as expected.
