Documentation to import several XML WP.com files

  • I exported through WP.com my whole site. I ran the WordPress exporter found there via Tools. It chopped off most ofthe posts so I went to exporting category by category…and then decided to try to use this. I cannot find documentation how to import the 6 files of a total 16K. The exporter did break it into chunks of 3.5K each but that does not help here on the import side as I cannot fill in the fields appropriately.

    I found the documentation, but the last entry — UNIQUE KEY — is not filled on the template and it is required. Currently I am using {title} but I am not getting anything imported so perhaps that is wrong.
