    After installing this plugin from the WordPress Plugins > Add New page and activating it, there is no “Documents” admin menu item.

    I’ve also searched in all admin sub-menus to see if you nested it and just didn’t update your videos. No joy.

    I have no custom admin menu plugins running and and am logged in as my admin user seeing all menu items for everything else I’ve ever installed.

    Any insight?

    @dennishall,
    This will be a permissions issue.

    I suspect that your admin user also has another Role. This role does not allow the user to “edit_documents”.

    By default, only roles of “administrator”, “editor”, “author” or “contributor” can edit documents. All other roles get the “edit_documents” capability set to false.

    If your administrator user has another role AND the installation is set so that a “false” capability trumps a “true” one, then this will be the the result.

    This has happened to me (with BuddyPress installed, ny Admin user also had the Keymaster role).

    I thought that I had made a fix in an earlier release to note this as it is confusing. I created it with an expiration period of 15 seconds. Probably this was too short.

    Please try inactivating the plugin, then reactivating it and using it on the admin screen within a small number of seconds. You ought to see the error messages.

    (Though this is more for me to understand why you didn’t see the message. At root, I think the issue is about the roles belongint to the admin user.)

    I hope that this sheds some light.

    Regards,
    Neil James
