    Hi there,

WP Engine has decided to deprecate the .htaccess file for all customers on future versions of PHP (starting from PHP version 7.4):
    https://wpengine.com/support/htaccess-deprecation/

I know that the “All In One WP Security” plugin uses this file and adds some code to it. I want to upgrade to PHP 7.4.

Will the “All In One WP Security” plugin work correctly without this file?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Our plugin will still work in your site. However, you cannot enable features that write to the .htaccess file, for example, Firewall rules, etc.

Let me know if the above helps you.

    Thank you

    Hi @mbrsolution ,

Could you give a complete list of features that don’t need to be used in this case, it might help!

    Thank you very much!
