I’m looking for a way that we can have some place to stored shared passwords for different sites that we use with general shared logins. I obviously don’t want that data to be sent back to the developer’s site or stored anywhere that people can access.

Are there any security concerns with this plugin and storing confidential info as a Note?

Also, are Notes backed up somehow in case someone deletes something by mistake?

    Hi,

The information won’t be send anywhere, its stored in your WP database.

Besides that, I would strongly not recommend saving password as plain in wp note, or anything.

There are probably lots of other more secure ways of saving passwords. One I’m thinking of now is a secured file on dropbox maybe?
I know there are also actual services meant for that.

And yes, notes are saved like posts in the database. You can view/retrieve any deleted notes from this address: /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=note

    Cheers,
