• Trying to debug what should be an easy problem to fix; Arigato won’t respond to a Cron job and I’m trying to figure out why. I’m testing out a new account with Lifetime.Hosting and it looks like their technical support is revealing themselves to be just plain incompetent so I may have to switch hosting providers, they are no help at all. I know I can use an external Cron service to hit a URL (and that works fine) to fire off Arigato but none of the Cron job options provided in your Main Settings will actually work when I setup a Cron job with them. I do not like to use kludgy workarounds to get things done unless absolutely necessary so I am focusing on getting Cron to work for now. I keep getting an error returned to my email showing the path the Cron job executed, followed by “Permission denied” (wish it was more specific!).

I’m thinking the problem MIGHT be because I’m running a Multisite WP install and trying to use Arigato Light (testing it before I buy Pro) on a subdomain and not the root domain. The Cron commands that appear on your Main Settings page specify a path that (of course, with Multisite) is not specific to the subdomain I’m trying to use Arigato with. So maybe Arigato can’t respond to a Cron command for a Multisite subdomain? It’s all I can think of at this time; your assistance would be most appreciated.

If you use multisite, the plugin should be activate individually for each sub-site.
There should be one cron job for each sub-site, going to that sub-site URL.
Use the HTTP version of the command and if needed, manually change the suggested URL to go to the correct sub-site URL.
