Hello, sorry if a bit out of topic. I dont know where to ask anymore.

So, I am planning on switching from the Classic Editor to Gutenberg. This means that I will have to refactor most of my posts, as I have more than 1000 posts dating back to 2016.

I am in the process of converting those 1000+ posts into Gutenberg (block editor), which will result in the posts being marked as “updated”, even though there is no change on the content.

If I make this conversion on a large scale, will this action affect SEO? In a bad way, i mean.

Hey @geniuxcode – to be honest I’m not sure what the impact on SEO would be directly.

In terms of the code that SEO robots would read – the content would be similar. If anything it may be a little bit cleaner – so I wouldn’t expect that to have any impact.

But I’m no SEO expert – so I can’t say for sure. Same goes for having all those posts showing as ‘Updated’.

As this is a more general WordPress question – you could try asking in the General Forums.
