I am building a new site and often need to make tweaks to existing images, so use a plugin called ‘Enable Media Replace’ to change/update existing images without the need to continue uploading new versions.
I have been testing the site since replacing a few images and they still look the same.
This is a feature that is integral to my workflow so I need to know whether newly replaced images will still be optimised? And how to get them to display correctly.

On a side note, I have also changed the compression of images from high to low, as I need them to be compressed losslessly (without too much pixelation or image degradation). These chanegs don’t seem to be showing at all on any of the images either.
Do you offer a lossless compression setting?

I have cleared all the site cache multiple times but the images still don’t update. Is there a way to clear the OptiMole cache on the CDN, to ensure that it displays up to date imagery?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hello @eyetooth-art,

Right now we are working on a mechanism to allow purging the cache for a specific image but at this moment the only way of doing this is to replace the image filename. We use this level of caching to ensure our users have a seamless optimization and deliverability of their image.

Regarding the compressed setting, make sure after you change the value and save it, clear your hosting cache for the new links to show up.

    I hope this helps.

We’d like to see support for updating images that are replaced as well.
