Can Envira Gallery work with Ninja’s FileBird Lite, which is a plugin that creates folders within the WordPress Media Library?

I’m brand new to Envira Gallery and am trying to create a new gallery, but it doesn’t seem to see a folder that I just created in my WordPress Media Library using the Ninja FileBird Lite plugin. When i click to edit my new Envira gallery using “other sources”, which is for me the WordPress Media Library enhanced by Ninja FileBird Lite, I just keep seeing the plain vanilla default WordPress Media Library.

Is there a conflict between the two plugins? Is this a bug? Or perhaps the ability for the Envira Gallery plugin to work with the Ninja FileBird Lite plugin is a feature only offered in one of the pro upgrades?

    Thanks for any enlightenment!

  • Hi, @susantau!

    Thanks for writing in!

We in support tried out FileBird Lite, and it doesn’t seem to work with either our Lite plugin or our paid plugin. This I wouldn’t call a “bug,” though; we can’t and don’t guarantee compatibility with plugins that alter the media library.

That said, we have had more than a handful of customers use FileBird Pro without issue. Again, we don’t guarantee compatibility with that plugin, either, but it seems to work for the folks who choose to use it in conjunction with Envira. What differences there are between FileBird Pro and FileBird Lite I’m genuinely unsure of, but it might be worth looking into — or at least trying FileBird Pro out — if this is how you want to set up your media library.
