• Great little plugin. Simple, works exactly as described, never had any issues with it.

I use it for inserting a search widget into a flyout that holds a WP Menu. No problems at all on any mobile devices or browsers, even IE11!!

Great tool, takes away all the inconvenience of hacking in your own php to make shortcodes in WP Menu’s work.

Also works fine for inserting a shortcode such as “login with ajax” to trigger a modal login form from a menu item.

Love it, thank you very much for making it available to the community, and for keeping it updated, really very much appreciated!

    ??

The only thing which I think might be helpful to others who are reading the plugin description details here in the repo, and maybe one of the reasons someone else didn’t rate it 5*.. and also the cause of a couple of unnecessary support questions..

..is that you could perhaps mention that to edit a shortcode after it has been inserted, one needs to make sure that the “description” field is activated from the Screen Options items.

It confused me slightly too when I first started using it, but then I realised that the shortcode itself is actually injected to the Description field after saving, and isn’t immediately obvious because the description field is not activated by default.

I only discovered this because I was wondering where the shortcode had gone after adding it.

Since I’m responding, I checked again to make sure I hadn’t missed it in the docs before, and only now do I see this is ticked when looking at the screenshots, but it isn’t actually mentioned in the instructions, and if you are like me, I tend to read the words and not pay too much attention to screenshots.

Thanks for suggested edit in the description. I’ll make sure to mention the steps to edit, and will add a screencast doing the same. This has been a frequently asked question in support forums.

@gagan0123, it is developers like you who make WP.org what it is. This is one of the plugins that I link to by default when I see the question of how to do this come up in the forums and groups I belong to. I used to add the code myself to the Walker before I discovered this tool. Really, so convenient, thanks again, and kindest regards to you.

Thanks for the appreciation and suggesting this plugin to other users as well ??

Even I was writing walkers earlier and telling users how to get it to work, but since most people asking on forums are simple users without much of programming knowledge, I ended up creating this plugin instead. If you find some redundant queries on forums, that you think can be easily taken care of, by a simple plugin, then do ping me anytime, we’ll both write a plugin for the same.
