I am trying to figure out if Google for Woocommerce automatically adds your analytics tag to your site, or if I still have to do that manually somewhere? The reason I ask is because if I go to analytics.google.com and go to data sources, scan, it says that my website is connected. HOWEVER, if I view my page source and search for my TAG ID from google, I do not find this anywhere in the site structure. Is this something I am missing or do I need a different plugin for this?

    Thanks!

  • Hi there, Google for WooCommerce does not provide analytics functionality, it is for adding your store’s products to Google Listings & Ads.

You can easily integrate Google Analytics with your site using our free Google Analytics for WooCommerce extension here:

Thank you for the clarification. The lines between google services is starting to blur so much its hard to keep track of all the independent features that still bleed into all the existing services!
