    Hello,

We should work on a website for a client who sells car parts (more precisely – wiper blades) and the client wants to have the possibility of good filtering. In the sense that it goes linearly, that number one must be selected first and then the other, and so on, and others are locked until then (so that person cannot select 2 or 3 steps before the first – Logics Filters).

When someone selects a car brand for example: “BMW”, then only the Models related to the BMW category are opened for Model, for example, they select: “1 Series”, after that only the body types that are related to “1 Series – BMW” are opened. by model, for example after selecting: “Hatch”, after that it opens, which belongs only to everything that is selected, and then, for example, selects the year: “2004 – 2011 (E87)” and lists only those wiper blades, without other things. Also, can that filter form be placed on the home page or everywhere else and can be searched among those things, so that when someone filters it, it can be sent to the “Shop Page” with the selected filters and the results displayed there?

We are sending a link to a site that has exactly what we want:
    https://www.wipertech.com.au/

We tried to do this on our testing site with some free plugins, but it doesn’t work as it should and throws out other makes/models/body types/years, even if they don’t belong to that category and shape. Otherwise, in that world of “Wiper Blades”, 1 same product can be found on 10-30+ different Car Brands/Models/Body Types/Years (attributes) because it is the same product and we made it that way in the WooCommerce settings. For example. for that 1 product we have selected 2+ Car Brands/Models/Body Types/Years and everywhere else when it can be found. Can this work like this or does it have to be done in some other way, it is important for us to display only the results that belong to that form and that the site knows exactly how to display the information, as in the above example of the site we like, that we sent you. If there is a need we would also buy the pro version of the plugin. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

It depends on the structure of your data.

I understood the problem is that one spare part can be suitable for several makes, which causes the problem

In this case, all data must be in the same taxonomy and have a hierarchy.

    an example – https://demo.products-filter.com/working-with-hierarchy-drop-down

Thanks for the reply, does that mean it’s possible to do it with your plugin? Can it be done in the free version or must the paid version of the plugin be taken?

We looked at the demo site, can this filtering filter be placed for example on the home page or somewhere else, so that when someone filters, they can send it to the “Shop Page” and show the filtering results there? Also, is it possible to put an “Apply Button”, so that the person has to go through all 3-4 steps, and finally click the “Apply Button” and only then filter out? As in the example of the website we sent you that we like.

Is it possible to create an “unlimited” number of levels that can be filtered like this (subcategories)? Thanks in advance.

    Hello

?does that mean it’s possible to do it with your plugin?? -yes In this case, all data must be in the same taxonomy and have a hierarchy.

Unfortunately, hierarchical dropdown is not available in the free version.

can this filtering filter be placed for example on the home page or somewhere else, so that when someone filters, they can send it to the “Shop Page” and show the filtering results there?? – Yes

Also, is it possible to put an “Apply Button”, so that the person has to go through all 3-4 steps, and finally click the “Apply Button” and only then filter out? – Yes, but the user will be able to click the button at any step

Is it possible to create an “unlimited” number of levels that can be filtered like this (subcategories)? – Yes, but keep in mind that this will affect the filtering speed

Thank you very much for the answers to all our questions, we want to inform you that we have bought your plugin for a client, and over the weekend we plan to start with the plugin settings and to make what we need.

Do you have a tutorial that you can send us on how to make the filter that we need, or do you simply think that we could do it ourselves?

Another question we forgot to ask. Can this filter that we need, make a filter field disappear if there are no terms (for example, if we come to step 3 and there are no filter terms, (because of what we selected in step 2) they are not even displayed and step 4 goes immediately)?

For example, if we select the Brand – Audi, after that the Model – A1, then the third step for Body Parts, if we don’t put anything specifically for that model, can that third step not be displayed and immediately go to step 4 – years, as in the example of the site we sent you? Also is there any money-back guarantee? Thanks in advance.
