Does installing/uninstalling plugins corrupt WP?

  • Hi does installing/uninstalling plug-ins corrupt WP? I tend to think of it like windows where if you install too much crap then things start falling apart – is this true with wordpress?

    Like any ‘add-on’ software, if improperly coded, or not coded to the current WordPress version, then plugins could ‘hurt’ a WordPress installation.

    Generally though, plugins don’t corrupt WordPress, but plugins may make certain pieces of WordPress not work.

    Reputable plugin authors will keep their software up to date and as bug free as possible.
