People say that it is broken, but I think it is an error with the WordPress broken system.

It works great for me with WordPress 3.8.1.

I haven’t gotten any complaints about it not working.

If it works for you, please give it a rating.

I’m trying it now and on WordPress 3.8 seems to be working ok.

Only reason I want to disable updates is so I can use GIT and not have updates done in production.

Even though this plugin is installed the user could potentially still go to the plugins and select update from the menu couldn’t they?

I was just thinking i can probably just remove plugins from the menu all together, to stop clients automatically adding and removing plugins in a production environment, then they wont be able to update them that way either.
