I installed all in one security and enabled some features.

No changes were made to .htaccess

The plugin reports 140 points of 460 achievable points, and all critical features are reported to be “on”

But if the .htaccess file is still unchanged, how can this be working at all?

On my test system (using xampp) .htaccess is updated but on my live website, there are no changes.

    Please help!

Hi murray654 can you report what features you have enabled that appear in Xampp? Are the features added in Xampp also added in your live website?

For example when I enable the 5G Blacklist Firewall Rules, a lot gets added to my .htaccess on my test setup on windows, but nothing gets added to .htaccess on my live server.

Now I got this error when disabling and re-enabling the plugin “AIOWPS encountered an error when trying to write to your .htaccess file. Please check the logs.” Where is the log?

I see this in my servers error log:

The “open_basedir restriction in effect” issue is something which your host provider can help you with because it is occurring as result of a setting on your server. So try talking to your host provider.

Thanks, the changes made by my host resolved the problem…
