Does Jigoshop have a huge memory requirement?

It’s not a plugin issue. It’s a site issue. Try increasing the memory available to PHP.

memory usage utils show there is plenty of headroom !

Have you checked with your hosts. PHP memory is not the same as disk/hosting space.

Definitely dealing with PHP memory here with known reliable utils.

Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted

i.e. The hosting service max is exceeded; they do not cater for more than this and client will not hassle with changing hosting (again !)

Other ecommerce plugins work fine and do not hit the limit thus.

Is another language being used by chance? Try switching to ENG for a bit.

Otherwise, where does this error happen? Just on activation? Does it prevent activation?
