Does just a bar still track visitors

    Hi, before our country had these privacy laws officially we just had a bar at bottom saying we tracked. With just this notice bar – is the plugin setup to track users regardless of an opt-in/out?

    The GDPR Cookie Consent plugin by Webtoffee helps in making your site GDPR compliant by blocking the scripts that generate cookies. Depending on the consent given by the user the cookies are set on the browser. If they reject then no cookies will be set and tracking will not happen on your site.

    As per the GDPR rule, the user should be given the option to give consent to the cookies or reject them if they don’t prefer tracking. So only when the user accepts all cookies or gives consent to the cookie category that contains the cookies of tracking, the tracking will start.

    Note: To implement this you may please add the tracking codes to the plugin cookie category’s script section.
