• Hi – I have multiple blogs and often the content can be the same on each one. Ideally, I want to be able to choose if a blog post should be distributed to one or all three blogs that I run.

Can multisite solve this problem or only part of it or is there another option I should look at?

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers – J.

  • multisite does not solve this problem without extra plugins. Each site has its own admin area.

If you only have 3 blogs and you never plan on having more, and you’re not confident in your server skills (or not willing to learn) then it may be overkill.

    Hi Andrea,

    Thanks for your reply.

I don’t mind configuring the server as I have my own dedicated server.

Would you be able to tell me which other plugins I’d require so I can research this a bit more.

Could another solution be to setup one blog with 3 categories, which I can then link to separately?

    e.g. Trade, Products, Wholesale ?

    Cheers.

    That would be better.

Can I link a subdomain to a category?
    e.g. trade.domain.com redirects to x category?

Ah – I don’t think hey want the public viewing the trade articles though.

I think I’ll have to setup 3 different blogs. Unless you know of a specific plugin that manages this?

    Thanks again!

Just set up 3 separate installs.

OK will do. Seems to complicated otherwise.

    Thanks for your help.
