    Anyone who wanna help me and check if my content.php looks right? I think there is some kind of mistake, but I can’t seem to figure out what I might have done wrong. So is there anything that doesn’t look like it’s supposed to look in this code?

    <?php
    /**
     * The default template for displaying content
     *
     * Used for both single and index/archive/search.
     *
     * @package WordPress
     * @subpackage Twenty_Twelve
     * @since Twenty Twelve 1.0
     */
    ?>

    	<article id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>" <?php post_class(); ?>>
    		<?php if ( is_sticky() && is_home() && ! is_paged() ) : ?>
    		<div class="featured-post">
    			<?php _e( 'Featured post', 'twentytwelve' ); ?>
    		</div>
    		<?php endif; ?>
    		<header class="entry-header">
    			<?php if ( is_single() ) : ?>
    			<h1 class="entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h1>
    			<?php else : ?>
    			<h1 class="entry-title">
    				<a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>" rel="bookmark"><?php the_title(); ?></a>

    			<?php endif; // is_single() ?>
    			<?php if ( comments_open() ) : ?>
                            <?php the_post_thumbnail(); ?>
    				<div class="comments-link">
    			<?php endif; // comments_open() ?>
    		</header><!-- .entry-header -->

    I think there is some kind of mistake

    how does this show?
    any broken layout on the site?
    – can you post a link?

    any error messages?
    – enable DEBUG to get possible error messages https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Debugging_in_WordPress

    what theme are you using?

    what are you trying to change, and what did you edit in that file?

    I don’t think there is any error messages?

    I’m using Twenty Twelve, and I was trying to change the font size of my header and then I was trying to move the “write a reply” up above the featured image. But I guess something went wrong, cause now I can’t change the font size and the “write a reply” won’t move.

    first:
    please strongly consider to create a child theme of Twenty Twelve for the customisations; editing the default theme directly is not recommneded, not at least because you will lose the customisation if you update the theme.

    you have some error in this section:

    <?php if ( comments_open() ) : ?>
                            <?php the_post_thumbnail(); ?>
    				<div class="comments-link">
    			<?php endif; // comments_open() ?>

    a:
    do you want to have teh featured image only if comments are allowed?

    b:
    you are opening the <div class="comments-link"> but are not closing it within the same conditional statement;

    c:
    you have lost the original code for the ‘leave a reply’ text: <?php comments_popup_link( '<span class="leave-reply">' . __( 'Leave a reply', 'twentytwelve' ) . '</span>', __( '1 Reply', 'twentytwelve' ), __( '% Replies', 'twentytwelve' ) ); ?>.

    it might be useful if you re-start with an unedited copy of content.php, and re-trace the edits; taking care of the conditional sections, etc.

    I’m not sure, how do I create a child theme? And how can I move the changes that I’ve already made to that theme then?

    a: No, the featured image should be there even though i don’t allow comments.

    b: How do I close it then?

    c: oh okay, thanks

    Thanks for your help so far ?? I’m sorry I have so many questions and If you don’t want to spend your time guiding me through this I totally understand.
