Does my page load reasonably fast?

  • Hello pleasant people,

    I’ve just started out with www.ads-software.com and even more just with the Thesis theme. Nothing special, yet – mine looks an awful lot like the default one.

    What I’m wondering about at this moment is whether I’ve made the main page a little too heavy too load. There is a ‘rotator file’, and I’ve uploaded rather a lot of photos to it, but now I’m not sure whether people may not have to wait too long before the page shows – and, thereforely, leave, of course.

    Would like to hear from people with different connections, from lightning fast to the old dial up. (Are there still these?)

    I didn’t notice any slowness on your homepage but then again I am on a pretty fast connection (10mb download stream)…

    I love the skiing squirrel!!

    I too am on a 10Mb download and your site loaded just fine.

    The U.S. still lags behind the rest of the world concerning broadband so there are still many on dial-up. NetZero still advertises on TV even!!

    Ah, thanks, royho and jwane. Both on a 10Mb! I′m right now on a better connection (3Mb) but yesterday I was on 1Mb. If one is lucky, anyway, because most of the time it’s around 160 Kb.

    And yes, the skiing squirrel is a darling. I want one, too!
