    Hey,
I′ve set up this plugin on my membership site which, amongst other things, will offer discussion forums. Yoast SEO automatically sets “Follow links on this page” to yes on every single user-generated forum discussion and reply, and I don′t seem to have an option to disable that behavior.

My question is: does the “follow” tag, which get set by this plugin into the <head> section of those forum discussion pages overwrite the wordpress-default rel=”nofollow” tag which is included in every user-generated comment-/discussion-link (in the <body> section)?

If so, that would provoque seo-spam-content in those discussion forums, as any user-inserted links would be counted as backlinks by search engines.

    Hello Todama,

We understand that the Yoast SEO plugin adds follow links to every user-generated forum discussion reply. Unfortunately, we do not have a way, yet, to change the defaults but our developers aware of this.

Furthermore, the meta robots tag in the head indicates that “All links on this page can be followed” but links in the page which have explicit nofollow attributes overwrite that.

    Thanks.
