• Except for two major issues (for me), this plugin works great.

I want to create sub-pages for each podcast.

I’d like to have additional pages for background info on a guest, a transcript page, media gallery, etc.

    So, I have two problems:

    1) Unfortunately, the podcast content type as created by this plugin does NOT allow child <> parent relationships.

    2) I used the tech support forum and asked about this. After 5 weeks, still no response.

Currently I am researching a work around. This might be a different plugin completely, I also might modify the code for this plugin. If I modify, this means I have to manually manage each update.

    Hi John,

Sorry to hear you’ve had trouble getting started with SSP.

Regarding your question of post hierarchy, you’re able to use any type of post (regular blog Posts, other custom post types) you’d like with SSP. It does NOT have to be just the Podcast post type that the plugin creates. So if you’d like to have that parent/child relationship and can do that within another type of post that ought to do the trick for you.

On the response point to your previous post, that’s on us and on behalf of our team I apologize for our delay in getting back to you.

If we can do anything else just let us know.

    Excellent, Craig.

Here is what I am trying to do. Please let me know if this is a limitation due to the SSD plugin, or if I am in error. I’m delighted for it to be me, that is the easiest to fix. ??

    Example current podcast page: https://mywebsite/podcast/zdiver/

    I want to create:
    https://mywebsite/podcast/zdiver/transcript
    https://mywebsite/podcast/zdiver/imagegallery
    https://mywebsite/podcast/zdiver/videos

I am certainly able to create child pages using my “page” type.

If I am creating a “page” type, then the SSD page types are not available in the drop down list.

I don’t even have the option to select a parent when creating a SSD type post.

If I am missing something, please advise.

I promise I have researched, googled extensively attempting to find a solution to this.

    Thanks!!!
