    Thanks for the report, @burkeknight!

First of all, sorry for the late response! Can you provide me a short screen capture or some screenshots? That would help me to identify the problem so I can solve it.

There’s no way a screen shot is going to show that.
    It’s plain and simple:

Go to change avatar. Select avatar and it does nothing. No change, and when save, still no change.

Okay, that means it doesn’t even show some errors. Now can you tell me which OS, Browser (+ Version), and WordPress version you’re using?

Then I’ll try to reproduce the situation so I can find out what leads to this bug.

Latest WP. 4.1 as stated when posted. ??

Latest FireFox, though it just updated again last night to 35.0
I thought it had been 35.0 for months now, but guess not. ??

    Windows 7.

Oh, I had overlooked that. ??

I just tried changing my avatar on a new installation exactly with the stated system configuration (Windows 7, Firefox 35.0, WordPress 4.1) and everything works fine, as it should. Please …

1 … make sure that there’s no other plugin of this kind active
2 … open wp-config.php and change the WP_DEBUG constance to ‘true’
3 … look for errors on your profile-page in the backend

Also you can now right click anywhere on your profile page and press Q on your keyboard, now you’ll see the developer board where you now select the ‘Console’. Are there any errors shown after you’re trying to change the avatar?

I have since uninstalled this, and am using the BuddyPress plugin.
I was more just informing you of the issue.

There were no other plugins that had any effect on this at the time, as this and Akisimet were the only plugins installed and active at that time.
