Does not retrieve anything whatsoever

If you’re using the default API key then that is probably the issue. It runs out of API calls pretty early in the morning. There are instructions at this link for creating an API key…

Nothing shows up in the location search. One time I tried it showed New York as the city which I thought would work but it still gave the same response. Now it doesn’t even show the city anymore.

By the way, is Google going to charge me money for this???

After you enter your API key, make sure you click Save Settings again. You’re key shouldn’t be over the limit if you just created it.

Google gives you a $200/month credit, so no it shouldn’t cost you anything.

Click on the “More Info” link in the pop-up. It should give you details of what is wrong with your API Key.

it says the credit will be good for 12 months, what happens after 12 months?

It says this at the bottom of that page…

“You must have a valid API key and a billing account to access our APIs. When you enable billing, you will get $200 free usage every month for Maps, Routes, or Places.”

I’m not sure what will happen after 12 months. Google can change their policies anytime they want, unfortunately.

okay I finally got it to work but how do I get rid of the border on the left side? It’s pushing the reviews over to the right on the page
